We would like to share with you the news and achievements of the last few months.
Check out the highlights:
Strategic Coordination in Florianópolis
The year began with a lot of coordination and expansion of our services.
In January, our superintendent was in Florianópolis for strategic meetings with the Executive Board of GRANFPOLIS and the new municipal managers. We visited nine municipalities (all with new administrators), and all of those visited confirmed the continuation of the partnership. There was a meeting with the entire Education Council, which included 20 of the 22 municipalities that make up the region. Early childhood education and literacy were on the agenda!

Partnership signed in Corumbá – Mato Grosso do Sul
In February, our superintendent attended a strategic meeting in the municipality of Miranda, Mato Grosso do Sul, with the mayors and secretaries of education of the municipalities of Corumbá, Miranda, and Aquidauana. At the meeting, the FEFIG Institute and the Circuito 360 – Literacy Management Program were presented, proposing a partnership with the three municipalities. Corumbá decided to sign the partnership, and we have already begun work that will impact the approximately 7,000 students enrolled in the municipality's 17 urban schools. We are immensely grateful to the Acaia Pantanal Institute, which is the enabling partner in this partnership!

Priscila Cruz on the Fefig Council
Priscila Cruz has accepted our invitation to become our new advisor. Our Board of Directors receives a huge boost with the arrival of Priscila Cruz, a leading figure in education and founder of Todos pela Educação (All for Education). We are immensely grateful to Priscila for accepting our president's invitation and are excited about all the contributions and connections that this important advisor will bring to the FEFIG Institute, further enhancing our strategy and actions.

New Hubs and Technical Reinforcement
Expansion of services: We began 2025 by formalizing the expansion of our services to three new centers: Corumbá in Mato Grosso do Sul, Livramento de Nossa Senhora in Bahia, with four municipalities and approximately 4,500 students, and Valença do Piauí, comprising four municipalities and approximately 2,500 students. To strengthen our team of technical agents, we welcomed Herton Vieira, who has extensive experience in municipal education network management and will be responsible for overseeing the new hub.

Continuity in Active Hubs
We resumed activities in the centers of Rio Grande do Norte, Serra da Capivara/PI, Tocantins, Santa Catarina, and Caculé/BA. In all centers, we continued our partnership in more than 95% of partner municipalities, even with changes in management and the appointment of new secretaries and technical teams. This is the FEFIG Institute working for the continuity of public policies, in order to promote education policies that are state-led rather than government-led.
