Visit to the State of Piauí
Our Executive Superintendent Bartholomeu Silva and Communications Analyst Ana Luíza de Andrade visited the municipality of São Raimundo Nonato, in Piauí, for the 1st Steering Committee Meeting of the Circuito 360 Program – Literacy Management, at the Rosa Teixeira de Castro School and the Quilombo School – João Braz do Rosaria – located in the Lagoa da Firmeza Quilombo Community. The meeting brought together education secretaries and program coordinators from the seven partner municipalities. It was a valuable opportunity for reflection, evaluation, and discussion on how to improve daily processes in schools to achieve better literacy outcomes. Although this is the first year of the program’s implementation, we are already beginning to see significant improvements!

Participation in the Seminar – Networks That Promote Literacy: Lessons from Brazil and Colombia
Our executive superintendent, Bartholomeu Silva, participated in the seminar “Networks That Promote Literacy”, held in Rio de Janeiro by the João and Maria Backheuser Institute, in partnership with the Ayrton Senna Institute. During the event, IAS specialist Gisele Alves presented research on the complex neurological processes involved in literacy. In addition, it was an excellent opportunity to learn about the success stories of the municipality of Nova Venécia, in Espírito Santo, and Manizales, in Colombia, broadening our horizons and strengthening our practice.
Technical Visit and Steering Committee – Bahia
Bartholomeu Silva visited Caculé, Bahia, to participate in the Steering Committee of the Literacy Management Program – Circuito 360. Education secretaries and technical teams from the four partner municipalities in the region were also present. During the visit, we highlighted the inspection of four schools in the municipality of Mortugaba, where we were able to observe firsthand the systemic changes the program has brought about in the classrooms. It is always inspiring to see how the Literacy Management Program positively impacts daily school life!

Participation in the Ayrton Senna Institute Event
Our Chief Financial Officer, João Paulo Moura, accompanied by Ingrid Baumann and Marcelo Vautier, represented the Fefig Institute at celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Ayrton Senna Institute. During the event, municipal education networks with a long history of partnership with the IAS were honored. The Fefig Institute was also honored for being one of the implementing partners of IAS solutions, particularly the 360 Circuit (Literacy Management). Congratulations on your 30th anniversary, IAS!
