Early Childhood Education
Early Childhood Education Improvement Program
Quality early childhood education as the foundation for the future
Overview
The Early Childhood Education Improvement Program strengthens education for children aged 0 to 5 years and 11 months in public schools through an integrated approach that combines instructional planning, teaching practices, school management, and family involvement.
How it works
-
We conduct technical assessments (EAPI and INAPI) to identify quality indicators.
-
We have established improvement agreements with the municipal departments of education.
-
We offer continuing education for teachers, administrators, and technical staff.
-
We have established clear roles and responsibilities among schools, school districts, and families.
-
We track results and progress using comparable metrics over time.
Impact and results
Cities such as Patos (PB) have become national leaders in early childhood education.
In Santa Catarina, the program has already led to concrete progress in the continuing education of educators and the systematic monitoring of quality indicators in early childhood education.
