Launch Event for the Early Childhood Education Improvement Program at GRANFPOLIS
On March 13, the Launch Event for the Early Childhood Education Improvement Program, which we implemented in partnership with LEPES/USP, was held at the headquarters of the Association of Municipalities of the Greater Florianópolis Region (GRANFPOLIS). The Secretary of Basic Education of the Ministry of Education (MEC) was present via video link, as were representatives from the Santa Catarina State Department of Education, the Union of Municipal Education Directors of Santa Catarina (UNDIME/SC), the Santa Catarina Federation of Municipalities (FECAM), and GRANFPOLIS. via video, representatives from the Santa Catarina State Department of Education, the Union of Municipal Education Directors of Santa Catarina (UNDIME/SC), the Santa Catarina Federation of Municipalities (FECAM), GRANFPOLIS, as well as three municipal mayors and teams from the departments of education of 17 municipalities. It was a moment of strong mobilization by all around a commitment to improving the quality of Early Childhood Education.



Holding of the first Board of Directors meeting of the year
On March 26, we welcomed our advisors to the institute's headquarters for our first meeting of the year. On the agenda, we discussed the balance sheet for the first quarter of 2024, with an emphasis on communication and fundraising actions that resulted in significant growth in our participation on social media (Instagram and LinkedIn), as well as the continuity of our actions, with an emphasis on achievements in the areas of improving early childhood education, literacy at the recommended age, and providing glasses to students in need.

Visit to the Natura Institute for a governance meeting
Our superintendent attended a governance meeting at the Natura Institute headquarters with representatives from the Partnership for Collaborative Literacy (PARC). The Natura Institute is financing 50% of the implementation of the Literacy Management Program in the municipality of João Lisboa/MA, and we are building a partnership model that enhances the performance of municipalities in the joint effort for literacy, strengthening the articulation between materials, training, and support from the state to the municipal literacy policy.
